Neil Motherway
Owner & Lead Arborist
Neil has a National Diploma in Arboriculture and a BSc and MSc in Psychology.
Neil is a LOLER inspector and holds qualifications from the Arboriculture Association in professional tree inspection.
Has over 30 years experience working in all aspects of tree care in Ireland, U.K and Europe.
Neil successfully managed Setanta Tree Care, enhancing his expertise. With his leadership, the company became the first independent Irish business approved by the Arboriculture Association (UK).
Neil's extensive knowledge and expertise in the practical and technical aspects of tree care are unparalleled, making him an invaluable leader of the team. His profound understanding of arboriculture sets the standard for the crew, ensuring that every project is executed with precision and care.

Robert French
Climbing Arborist
Robert, our seasoned expert, brings to the table an impressive track record of over 20 years in the tree care industry.
Robert is highly skilled and fully qualified in a variety of specialized tree care techniques, including aerial cutting/freefall techniques, tree climbing, and aerial rescue. His expertise and training ensure that each job is completed safely and efficiently, with a keen focus on tree health and customer satisfaction.
He is also highly skilled and experienced in the precise art of felling, diligently pruning, and expertly maintaining a diverse range of trees, hedges, and woody shrubs. Additionally, he is well-versed in handling all aspects of site machinery with proficiency, including operating equipment such as woodchippers, stump grinders, chainsaws, and more.
Robert was predominantly trained in the United Kingdom, where he honed his skills under the guidance of Neil Motherway. Their shared experience includes collaborating on multiple projects for Arboriculture Association approved contractors.
Liam D’Este
Aspiring Apprentice
Liam, Neil's stepson, is currently in the process of perfecting the trade. During his time as a part-time summer and occasional worker, he has cultivated a growing interest in the tree care industry. Having shown initiative during that time, Liam is now a part of our team.

Supply a written detailed quotation prior to and before any work is carried out.
Comply with all laws, statutory regulations and industry best working practice applicable to our industry.
Maintain full Employer Liability Insurance cover.
Maintain full Public Liability Insurance cover specifically for tree surgery and associated services. This insurance is available to inspect upon request.
Ensure all works are carried out providing a safe working environment to both Home Owner/Client and employees.
Ensure all works are started and completed on agreed dates as practically possible.
Prioritizing the respect and protection of our Home Owner/Clients' privacy and security above all else.
To succeed in client communication, be clear and considerate to build a strong relationship and grasp their needs.
Ensure that all works agreed are both carried out and completed in accordance to the terms of the original quotation and the job specification.
Agree any and all changes with the client prior to execution.
Leave all areas both clean and tidy upon completion of the contract in accordance with your Home Owner/Clients requirements to the best of our ability.
Inform Home Owner/Client FIRST if there is any damage however insignificant.
Ensure that all parties including sub-contractors have the relevant experience and standards of qualifications or training to undertake (as a team), the work specified within the contract.
Not expect Or request payment before the job is completed. That is unless staged payments before completion is specifically and explicitly mentioned in the quotation that was agreed with you beforehand.
Resolving all disputes quickly in a fair open and transparent manner.
Be actively involved in staff training and development.
